Buy a Bag of Food

There are about 50 temples on the island, most have an average of about 30 dogs, it is estimated that Soi Dog look after about 600 dogs in temples alone, not counting other street dogs, and the 400+ dogs at the Shelter.

We need to buy more than 200 bags of dry food a month to feed the cats and dogs we care for. In addition we have begun to give bags of food to a Thai lady who we have come across.

 

We are now introducing 'Buy a Bag of Food every month for a year' to help cover our food costs.

 

Known as the cat lady of Talang, the lady shown in the photo has over 50 cats and 20 dogs in her small house and garden. The majority are injured ones that she has picked up as she travels around the Talang area feeding strays. She has very little money and somebody we need to help more. The conditions are not good but she can't say no to a sad case. At least 2 of the dogs are paralysed.

SDF currently provides her with 4 bags of dog food and 2 bags of cat food a month but she really needs 10 bags of dog food and 20 bags of cat food.

 

Help us to help her more by buying her a bag of food.

 

We will feature more of her animals in the coming weeks.
