How to Adopt a Soi Cat to Your Area

Thank you for considering saving the life of a cat in need.  There are two ways to get your cat to you: travelling by cargo or with a passenger (a flight volunteer) as their extra baggage. We take care of all the documents, flights, and other arrangements - you only need to go to an international airport to meet your new best friend. Our adoptions staff will walk you through the process. Please read about our costs to send your cat to your part of the world.

If you're interested in adopting, please complete Soi Dog’s adoption questionnaire and we will contact you soon.

Please note that Soi Dog charges no adoption fee, but adopters are responsible for all the necessary costs for the dog to travel to its new home.

All of our prices include sterilization, vaccinations, microchipping and the pet passport.

Adopt a cat

If there is no flight volunteer registered with us at the time of adoption, then the cat must be sent via cargo.

All timescales are from the date the adoption has been confirmed.

UK - travelling with a flight volunteer includes the required blood test analysis, travel to the UK and the flight cage.

Australia & New Zealand

Adopting a cat to Australia and New Zealand is a longer process and costs several thousand dollars or more. This is due to the countries' strict quarantine requirements. Animals need to spend about 6 months in a foster home in an approved country (which includes almost all Western countries). and then travel from there to Australia or New Zealand, where they spend 10 days in a quarantine facility. We can generally arrange a foster home.

If you're interested in adopting, please complete Soi Dog’s adoption questionnaire and we will contact you soon.
