My Christmas Wish This Year...

This year instead of Christmas presents I am asking my friends and family to make a donation to the Soi Dog Foundation of Thailand. Soi Dog Foundation (SDF) is a not-for-profit, legally registered charity which helps the homeless, neglected and abused dogs and cats of Thailand. 

Instead of a Christmas present I would like to ask you to consider making a gift with a more important meaning this holiday season - The Gift Of Life...

The picture on the left shows a scene typical throughout the world at this time of year. In a prestigious shopping mall, scores of shoppers search for that ideal gift that in many cases will end up in somebody’s bottom drawer unwanted and unused.

Which matters more?

However, barely 100 meters away on a recently cleared area of land Soi Dog's mobile team found this unwanted and abandoned mother and her puppies hiding in a drain just yards from Phuket’s busiest highway. As the mother searched for food to keep herself alive the puppies were straying onto the highway and almost certain death.
