Tanky And Sam's Story

Sadly, the majority of dogs that come to us will never know a home which is why our sponsorship program is so important in order to give dogs like Tanky and Sam (right) a permanent home.

Both these dogs who arrived within days of each other last month aretypical cases that SDF see every week. Tanky (below right) was abandoned close to the Kata temple by his uncaring owner and had no idea how to survive on the streets. The owner could well have been a foreigner leaving the island or a local person. 

Sam (pictured above) is a street dog from Kao Lak found at our last mobile clinic there. 

 One can only imagine the torment his skin condition has caused him. Sam has already been sponsored by Elaine Sloan in America. Tanky is available for sponsorship as are many others.

Both Tanky & Sam are recovering well. Already a huge difference with Sam. The crust which covered his body is now gone and he has substantial new hair growth.

Tanky's progrees is not as obvious but he has regained his zest for life and a lot of the red soreness has gone.
