Coconut Island Mobile Clinic
A very difficult clinic, all equipment had to be driven to the pier then carted the full length of the pier, on to a boat, then off loaded on the island and transported to the labour camp. The canopy was inadequate and electricity had yet to be supplied. We managed to sterilise 4 dogs before the heavens opened & we had a huge storm & everyone got absolutely drenched as can be seen in the pictures. |

Why We Need Your Help

Help Find King Louis A Home
At the Soi Dog Shelter we have two choices: build more and more runs for dogs that cannot be released or get the dogs adopted. Building more runs is not a viable option. Even though these dogs are better off at the shelter they cannot live the rest of their lives there and they need your help to find homes! |

Newsflash - Milo Finds A Home
![]() Milo survived the tsunami five years ago and now he desperately needs your help! Milo had become the unofficial mascot at the post-tsunami tracking office. There he met and befriended volunteers Robert and Sandra Nock from the UK who spent a year working for the charity in Thailand. After living a comfy life as the mascot for the post-tsunami tracking office for several years, Milo was sadly left behind. Milo continued to live outside the former office, living on what scraps he could find. |

Water Supply Crisis
![]() The following article was graciously written and published by Barbara Castleman of Best Friends Animal Society concerning the severe water shortage at the shelter. Due to a particularly dry season the Shelter's well is nearly dry and urgent works must be commenced immediately to address this dire issue. Water will soon need to be carted to the Shelter at significant expense. |

Soi Dog has completed the initial
purchase of part of the land on which the animal shelter is located.
Soi Dog has negotiated an arrangement whereby the remaining land can be purchased within
a fixed period at an
agreed price of 10 million baht (approx. $300,000 USD). This land currently houses Soi Dog’s clinic,
the puppy and old/weak dog’s runs, as well as other critical facilities. The acquisition of this land is
critical in
sustaining the growth of Soi Dog and continuing our work in helpings the
stray and homeless animals of Thailand.
We are appealing to new and existing supporters for your help in
purchasing the remainder of the land by October, 2010. This
is a critical and immediate initiative for Soi Dog.
