Rescue! - Congratulations to the Lauer family

I think I must have seen everything that man can inflict on his fellow creatures. However this is a new one for me.I have seen many cases of dogs that have had their jaws tied with elastic band wet cord which eventually severs the nose.Yesterday the Lauer family on holiday in Kao lak from Germany arrived at the shelter with a young puppy they had seen.

One of a litter still with its Mum they thought its leg was broken. Dr Tey took one look and immediately diagnosed the problem. Somebody had tied elastic or cotton around the leg, cutting off the blood supply probably about a month before. A neat circular scar was clearly visible. The lower leg was completely dead and gangrene was starting to set in.The puppy was dispatched to Dr. Trethep in Talang and the leg was amputated this morning. The pup is now recovering at Gill and John's house. It is now sitting on Gill's lap. The puppy is still terrified of humans but will hopefully make a full recovery and if he does the Lauer family are waiting for him to be sent to Germany.So out of evil maybe something good will happen.
