The American School Of The Hague – Once Again, Proud Supporters Of Soi Dog!
Soi Dog extends an enormous thanks to the students and faculty of the American School of the Hague for their continued support in helping the homeless dogs and cats of Thailand, four years in a row!
This year, once again, the 10 year-old 5th graders organized daily fund-raisers for two months to support Soi Dog. Their goal is to help build a much-needed cat shelter, buy stainless steel cages, and decorate the new kitty home with wonderful climbing poles, baskets, and toys.
They held bake sales, had cake raffles, stuffed animal raffles, popcorn sales, guess-how-many-jelly-beans-
are-in-the-jar games, hand-made bracelet sale, threw whipped cream pies at their favorite teachers, threw water balloons at each other, and had a huge sponsored run in the sport-hall. They are into their third week and have already raised over 1,200 euros. Some of the students will bring the money in person, when they visit Soi Dog this Easter. Dr. Anna, a Dutch vet who worked at Soi Dog gave a presentation, as did Ilse and Som, a dog she adopted with the help of Soi Dog
Below is a small photo gallery of many of the ASH Students involved in the fund raising efforts. Again many thanks to all the students and teachers at ASH!
