Mobile Clinic Program Expands – How you can help …
As our mobile clinic program continues to expand, Soi Dog is in urgent need of a mobile autoclave. An autoclave is a device to sterilize medical instruments and supplies by subjecting them to high-pressure steam at 121 °C or more.

Soi Dog has sterilized over 29,000 dogs and cats as of July, 2010! This has had a significant positive effect that is very evident on the streets. When Soi Dog was founded our aim was quite clear: To stop the appalling suffering experienced by the majority of stray dogs and cats on Phuket island.
The ONLY effective and humane method of achieving the objective of helping the animals is to spay & neuter (sterilize) these dogs and cats and so prevent even more unwanted animals being born and suffering death by starvation, injury, disease, or inhumane methods of population control.
A portable autoclave is urgently needed for more effective mobile clinic operations. Mobile clinics are limited in time and every efficiency must be taken to maximize their effectiveness. Equipment sterilization is critical and while it can be done manually (wet soaked) this is very time consuming and hinders clinic effectiveness. The wet soak method is also far from ideal and potentially leaves bacteria which can cause life threatening infections.
You Can Prevent This...

A mobile autoclave costs approximately $1,500 USD (1,200 Euros) and we are asking for your help to purchase one. Your donation today of $25 could prevent the unnecessary suffering of over 242 puppies or kittens, helping end the vicious cycle of overpopulation. Please consider helping today.
