Many thanks to Madame Jeanne Marchig, Les Ward and the trustee's of the Marchig Trust for awarding John and Gill Dalley the 2011 "Jeanne Marchig Animal Welfare Award"...

The Marchig Trust has awarded John and Gill Dalley of Soi Dog Foundation the 2011 "Jeanne Marchig Animal Welfare Award". The Award takes the form of a financial donation in recognition of John and Gill Dalley's work in helping the neglected and abused dogs and cats of Thailand. Since it was established in 1989, significant achievements over many years within the field of animal welfare have been recognised by the presentation of the award.

The Marchig Animal Welfare Trust was established in 1989 by Madame Jeanne Marchig of Geneva, because of her deep concern for nature and animals and in memory of her late husband, the painter Giannino Marchig.

The objects of the Trust are to protect animals and to promote and encourage practical work in preventing animal cruelty and the relief of animal suffering.

The Marchig Trust has been a long time supporter of Soi Dog and we are very grateful for the Trust's ongoing support!

John and Gill have in turn allocated the $20,000 received from the Marchig Trust towards the continuation of Soi Dog's work.
