Rescued from cruelty and ready for the world
Hello! I’m Lullabell, a super friendly and sometimes nervous girl looking for a home.
You might be wondering how I can be both friendly and nervous, so allow me to explain. In the safety of my enclosure at the shelter, I’m the most sociable girl you could hope to meet. Absolutely everyone who comes to visit gets some Lullabell love!
However, when it’s time to head out of my enclosure for walks, that confidence disappears and I become fearful of my surroundings (until I reach the off-lead areas where I relax once again).
There’s an explanation for this seemingly contradictory behaviour – I endured terrible cruelty before I came to Soi Dog, and so the outside world can feel like a scary place.
For months, I was tied up and routinely beaten. The rope left a deep wound around my neck, while the abuse left its own emotional scars. I also developed mange which made my skin red raw. Fortunately, one of Soi Dog’s mobile teams visited the area, heard my story and came to my rescue.
I’m ready to put my sad past behind me now and make my way in the world. The only way to do that is with the support of a loving family, so please consider me, Lullabell. I would make a truly wonderful companion.
