As part of the expansion plans, a Walk of Love will be created at the shelter, inspired by the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Here, you can dedicate a personalised star to a loved one. This can be someone living or deceased, and may be a family member, friend, or pet.
A star-shaped tile will have a brass plaque set in to it, bearing the name of the person or animal you choose.
If applicable, you can request a certificate to present to your loved one, letting them know a star has been named after them.
Ozzie was blind and completely helpless when dumped in a lonely forest by his callous owner.
When he arrived at our shelter, he joined over 1,000 other animals that had nowhere else to go. Sadly, the facilities at the Soi Dog shelter are now operating at full capacity and desperately need to be expanded if more dogs like Ozzie are to be helped.
As part of the expansion plans, we want to create a Humane Education Centre to teach children about responsible pet ownership and how animals have the same basic needs as us - food, shelter, medical care, and love.
Every day, Soi Dog is called upon to rescue sick, injured, abused or abandoned animals. They are hit by speeding cars, they are sick with mange or other skin conditions, they are victims of machete attacks.
Others have simply been discarded like trash and, having never lived on the streets, have no hope of surviving if we don’t intervene to pick them up.
Please help these rescues to continue by ensuring that the Soi Dog shelter always has space for an animal in need. Please help to change the future for suffering animals by helping to educate the next generation of children.
While we work tirelessly to find homes for the animals in our care, we cannot turn our backs on those still suffering on the streets. But the sad reality is that we have run out of the space and facilities to care for them. Your help is now vital if more lives are to be saved.
