Over 100 survivors of the dog meat trade in South Korea are in urgent need of help. They need food, medical treatment, and shelter. If they are to be saved, they desperately need you.
In 2017, dog meat butchers were ousted from South Korea's notorious Moran market following a crackdown on the on-site slaughtering of dogs.
Now, some of those slaughterers have illegally occupied land owned by the Korea Land & Housing Corporation. The butchers claim that they had facilities on the land prior to it being bought and are demanding the housing corporation pay them compensation.
In order to provide “evidence” for their claim, they built some make-shift enclosures on-site and dumped around 200 dogs there. Around 60 dogs have already been rescued but 142 remain and they are in critical condition.
