Korengo was shy and suffering. Every dog deserves so much more than to die on the streets.

Street dogs are struggling for survival during the ongoing health crisis. With fewer tourists around and many locals travelling to other areas to find work, homeless animals are more vulnerable than ever.

Many cannot find food and water. Countless do not have shelter or safety. And when they get sick or injured, they do not have someone to get them the help they need.

They only have someone like you.

He was only four years old, but life on the streets was killing Korengo. His was one of the worse tick cases we have ever seen. They had invaded his weak body. Tragically, the ticks transmitted deadly parasites, which then caused severe kidney disease. Not only that, but he was anaemic, had open wounds and terrible skin problems.

Although Korengo was in a heartbreaking condition, animal lovers like you enabled us to bring him in and give him the urgent care and safety he needed. Although his kidneys will never recover, his days of suffering are long behind him. He will never be hungry, scared, harmed or in danger ever again.

Day in and day out, dogs like Korengo come through our shelter doors. It is only with your kindness that we can rescue dogs like him from certain death on the streets and give them the ongoing care they so desperately need.
