My name is Jasper, and I've been at the shelter since 2012, when I was only a month old. I was almost killed as a puppy, and it took me a very long time to see that humans can be loving and kind.
For a long time, I was scared of anyone raising their hand - a sure sign that I had been beaten in the past. I am doing much better now, and slowly learning to trust again, but I still instinctively shy away if someone raises a hand to pat me.
Apart from that, I am doing well and hoping that one day, I will find my forever home. Until then, will you help me? Will you sponsor my ongoing care while I live in safety at the shelter? You would be helping not just me, but all the other shelter animals here with me.
