Living on the streets of Thailand as a young kitty was horrific. Every day was a battle to find scraps to eat and a safe place to sleep. By the time I was just one-year-old, I had already experienced more trauma and suffering than most cats will in a whole lifetime.
I had an unbearably painful and deep wound under one of my legs. And because I had no one to take care of me and nobody to love me, the wound became septic and infested with maggots. I became incredibly sick and weak. Thankfully, a kind person eventually found me and rushed me to Soi Dog to get the urgent help I needed.
The vets sadly discovered that I also had severe cat flu and an infectious feline disease called FeLV. The chances of me surviving were incredibly slim and I spent months fighting for my life in Soi Dog’s cat hospital. Eventually, though, all because of animal superheroes like you who support Soi Dog, I somehow defied the odds and found the strength to pull through.
Having FeLV means two big things for me. Firstly, that I probably won’t live as long as a ‘normal’ cat. And secondly, that I am unlikely to be adopted and may live out my days here at the Soi Dog shelter. Although I don't have a family to call my own, I am so happy that for the first time in my life, I finally get to experience what it is to feel safe.
It is only with the help of cat lovers like you that Soi Dog will be able to provide me with life-long care and a comfortable place to rest my head. Will you please do something amazing and become my sponsor today? Without your compassion, cats like me have simply nowhere else to go.
I promise to send you regular updates and a very special video at the end of the year to let you know about my progress and the difference you make to my life.
