Can you help me find a home in Canada or the USA?

Hi! I’m Bambala, but the people who know me here in Ontario, Canada, call me BamBam.

I haven’t always lived in Canada. In fact, I was born many thousands of miles away on the island of Phuket in Thailand. Soi Dog rescued me as a puppy there after I was reported abandoned at a concrete yard. I spent almost a year at the shelter before flying to Canada where a family was kind enough to adopt me. Unfortunately, circumstances have since changed, so I’m looking for a new home.

A bit about me… My current family describe me as a sweet and gentle boy who loves his people. I can be nervous with strangers, loud noises and sudden movements, but I’ve come a long way with time and patience. When guests arrive, I’ll usually bark at first, but I settle within a few minutes and will come over to sniff them when I’m ready.

I’ve lived happily alongside other dogs and a cat in the past, and I particularly enjoy having canine company. I’m more confident on walks with other dogs, too, although I’m still nervous around traffic and loud noises, so I much prefer walks in quieter areas. At home, I enjoy sunbathing, digging holes and curling up for cuddles on the couch.

I’m looking for a calm, adult-only home with a patient family who will let me take things at my own pace. If you’re in Canada or the USA and looking for a friend, please consider me, Bambala.
