Meet Dekdee
Hi! I’m Dekdee, a cautious, gentle and shy girl looking for a home.
I was just four months old when I arrived at Soi Dog after a kind lady found me at a petrol station in a sorry state – sick, scared and likely abandoned. She called for help, and I was brought to the shelter for the treatment and safety I needed. I've been here ever since.
Inside my enclosure, I'm friendly and get along with the other dogs. Outside, however, I can be quite shy if I don't know you very well. I like to walk and explore my surroundings, but I can sometimes be unsure and stop, so please be patient! If you pet me and give me some time, I can be encouraged to walk further. Walking with another dog helps me feel comfortable too. In the off-lead areas, I'm not very confident and will not stray far from the entrance.
As I've never lived in a proper home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love and guidance! My name means 'good child' in Thai, and I promise to be just that!

THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
