Meet Doppio
Story
Doppio was only two months old when he and his sister arrived at Soi Dog Foundation after being found abandoned in the jungle. Doppio had a wound on his hip which healed after intensive care and support from the nursing staff. Doppio has lived at the shelter for most of his life and is ready to find his forever home!
In the run
- Confident, friendly, approaches and jumps on visitors.
- Gets along with the other dogs.*
* Sometimes will growl at friends when he returns to run from walking.
Outside
- At first, walks confidently and explores area near run.
- When not sure, will not walk but when he sees carer, he walks easily (body relaxed, mouth open, tail up, ears forward).*
- Interested in other dogs and has no issues walking past.
* Carers have said he is not confident walking alone and walks better with a friend.
Off lead
- Calmly explores the surroundings.
- Responds to calls and will approach gently to be petted.
- Easy to put on and take off lead.

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
