Meet Kalmanu
Hi! I’m Kalmanu, an energetic, friendly and playful boy looking for a home.
I was just two months old when I first arrived at Soi Dog Foundation. A kind woman heard my cries as I was stuck in a tree after falling down from a mountainside. Lucky for me, I was not seriously injured and recovered with support from the nurse team.
I love going outside for walks, am comfortable on the lead and confidently explore everywhere around the shelter. I have no problems walking past other dogs or strangers. In the off-lead area, I like to explore and am very playful with rope toys. You will know when I'm excited and happy because I'll be doing zoomies left and right. I will even let you pet me.
As I've never lived in a home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love and guidance!

THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
