WHY SPONSORSHIP MATTERS

Every animal at the Gill Dalley sanctuary has a story.

Some arrive frightened and alone after years surviving on the streets. Others are recovering from life-changing injuries or learning to trust again after experiencing neglect. Many need ongoing medical care or simply a peaceful place to heal.

Although every journey is different they all have one thing in common: they deserve to feel safe, loved, and cared for.

When you become a sponsor, you're giving a rescue animal just that.

Sponsorship is not just a donation - it's a chance to build a lasting connection with your chosen animal.

What is my donation used for?

Your sponsorship helps provide the care your sponsored dog or cat needs to live a safe, happy and healthy life. You will help provide nutritious food, medicine, expert veterinary and behavioral care, enrichment, a safe home, and dedicated carers who give each animal the love they deserve.

Will I be my dog or cat's only sponsor? What about the dogs and cats who have no sponsor?

Each of our sponsor animals can have multiple sponsors. With more than 1,500 dogs and cats living at the Gill Dalley Sanctuary, as well as hundreds more receiving veterinary treatment, it takes a community of sponsors to help provide the care they all need. Your sponsorship helps support your chosen animal, while also contributing to the care of all the animals at the sanctuary.

We believe every animal deserves the same chance to heal and thrive. That’s why all animals in our care receive the support they need, whether they are sponsored or not. Your gift may begin with one special animal, but its impact reaches far beyond them.

What information will I receive about my sponsor dog or cat?

When you sponsor a dog or cat, you’ll receive a personalised sponsorship certificate featuring a photograph of your chosen animal.

Throughout the year, you’ll also receive three exclusive updates, so you can follow your animal's journey and the life-changing impact of your support. And keep an eye on your inbox as there will be a few extra surprises along the way!
