Hi! I’m Gollus, but my current family here in Phuket, Thailand, call me Luna.
I came to Soi Dog in 2023 after a remarkable rescue. My friend and I had been abandoned on a tiny uninhabited island with no food, water or shelter. The cruel person who left us there must have known that we had no chance of surviving. Thankfully, a passing kayaker spotted us and alerted Soi Dog, whose rescue team came by boat to save us.
In 2025, after two years at the shelter, I was adopted by a family here in Phuket. Unfortunately, their circumstances have changed, so I’m looking for a new home.
A bit about me… I'm a very affectionate girl who loves being around people. If you sit down, I'll come right over for cuddles, and I’ll ask to be petted for as long as possible. Belly rubs are a particular favourite! As well as friendly, my family describe me as playful, intelligent, curious and well-behaved in the house. I enjoy both long walks and lazy days relaxing with my family, and I've also lived happily with another dog.
After everything I've been through, I'd love a home where I can settle down for good. Whether that's in Thailand or overseas, I don't mind – as long as I'm with people who love me. So if you’re looking for a best friend, please consider me, Luna.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
