Hi! I’m Sangsawan, a cautious, gentle and quiet boy looking for a home.
I spent the first two years of my life on the streets. The busy roads were a constant source of danger, and my fears were founded one day when I was hit by a car. Fortunately, someone noticed that I was limping and called Soi Dog for help. My leg was damaged beyond repair and had to be amputated.
I’m a big boy with a calm demeanour – a gentle giant you could say! In my enclosure, you can usually find me relaxing in a quiet corner either by myself or with one of my friends. When it’s time to venture out for walks, I can be cautious and need a little encouragement to keep moving. Walking also gets tiring on three legs after a while, so I like to take a break in a shady spot and enjoy some cuddles.
I'm simply looking for someone to love and understand me. Could that someone be you?
THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
