Meet Slattery

Hi! I’m Slattery, a calm, cautious and gentle girl looking for a home.

I was five years old when I was brought to Soi Dog for treatment for a maggot found on my chest. During the vets' examinations, they discovered I also had glaucoma in my right eye and a deformity to my right hind leg – both of which eventually had to removed. It was a lot to go through, but I handled it with quiet grace and adapted well.

At the shelter, I'm known for being an absolute sweetheart who's a little on the shy side. When we first meet, I may be cautious, so please be gentle and patient. Despite my wariness, I like to go outside for walks and calmly explore my surroundings. I can get easily startled by loud noises and busy areas, but petting me will help me feel safe. I also find the company of another dog to be comforting sometimes.

As I've never lived in a home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love and guidance!

If I sound like a good fit for your family, or you’d like to learn some more about me, please enquire.
