Meet Taipo
Hi! I’m Taipo, a calm, confident and independent girl looking for a home.
I was three years old when I arrived at Soi Dog after being hit by a car. I was unable to stand and the vets soon discovered why – the impact had fractured my hip and pelvis. They surgically repaired the fractures using a plate and screws, and after a period of rest and recovery, I was up on my paws again!
Understandably, I was a little wary for a while. However, I've really grown in confidence over the years. When I first meet people, I'm friendly and will approach. Outside, I walk calmly and confidently everywhere, including busy and noisy areas. I'm quite a slow walker as I like to take my time to sniff around and take in the surroundings. I have no problems walking past other dogs or strangers. In the off-lead areas, I like to explore independently.
As I've never lived in a home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love and guidance!

THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
