Meet Walela
Hi! I’m Walela, a gentle and friendly boy looking for a home.
I was barely two months old when I arrived at Soi Dog Foundation with my seven siblings and mother. We were brought in for our safety and have grown up here.
I like to go outside for walks, but if I don't know you really well, at first, I may walk a little slower and glance back at you. I am comfortable on the lead and like to explore and sniff my surroundings. I have no problems walking past other dogs or strangers. In the off-lead area, I like to explore and will roll in the grass. If you call me, I may come over to you because I do like being petted.
As I've never lived in a home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love and guidance!

THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
