Meet Cakepops
Hi! I’m Cakepops, a cautious, gentle and shy girl looking for a home.
I escaped from my home during the Covid lockdown, and sadly my owners never came looking for me. All alone out there, it wasn't long before I got into trouble. No one is quite sure what happened, but I was found with my right eye bulging out and a limp in my hind leg.
Fortunately, someone called Soi Dog for help. At their hospital, I got the treatment I needed – including the removal of my eye – and lots of kindness. As you can imagine, I still have some trust issues, so please have some patience and understanding if I seem shy. It's not you, it's me – and so it may take some time for me to warm up and feel comfortable. I've been through a lot and hope there is a family out there who can provide me the stability of a loving home with the support and love I deserve!

THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
