Meet Habitia
Hi! I’m Habitia, a cautious, gentle and sweet girl looking for a home.
I was eight months old when I arrived at Soi Dog Foundation after my front left leg was run over by a car. Unfortunately, my leg had to be amputated, but I recovered and embracing my tripawd status. Sadly, losing my leg wasn't the worse part. I had an owner and, though it was outside, a home. I was let me go for personal and financial reasons, but luckily I was welcomed at the shelter!
I like to go outside for walks, but if I don't know you really well in the beginning, I may be cautious and sit down a lot. Please be patient. I do like being petted and it may help me feel comfortable. Since I lost my leg, I don't walk as fast as before and may tire easier – I hope you don't mind.
As I've never lived inside a home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love and guidance!

THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
