Meet Hilux
Story
Hilux was eight months old when she arrived at Soi Dog Foundation after being transferred from our Bangkok Mobile Clinic. Hilux was involved in a road traffic accident that left her with a traumatic brain injury, lung hemorrhaging and a severe injury to her left forelimb which eventually would be amputated. Today, Hilux is weight bearing on her remaining three limbs and walks normally without any signs of pain or lameness. She is ready to find her forever home!
In the run
- Confident and excited to meet, approach and stand up on visitors.
- Active with lots of energy and wants to go out all the time.
- Gets along with the other dogs.
Outside
- Walks confidently everywhere and likes to sniff and explore.
- Tentative when meeting strangers or when cars drive by.
- Interested and confident sniffing another dog's butt however was unsure and walked away (non-aggressive) when another dog approaches or sniffs her.
Off lead
- Sniffs around and surveys surroundings confidently.
- Approaches, friendly and enjoys affection and the attention.
- Not interested in playing with toys.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
