Meet Jayleendo
Hi! I’m Jayleendo, a cautious, gentle and slightly shy girl looking for a home.
I was exploring the jungle one day, like any curious dog, when a snare trap left for wild animals caught my front leg, severing it completely at the shoulder. A kind lady found me and called Soi Dog for help, and I was rushed to the shelter where they amputated what was left of my leg to prevent infection.
As you can imagine, my ordeal left not only physical scars but emotional ones too. But thanks to Soi Dog's behaviour team, I've been able to gradually rebuild my confidence and trust in people. I've shown that I can form really beautiful bonds once I know someone well and will show them my fun-loving and affectionate side.
When we first meet, I may still be a little shy and cautious, so please be patient! Going out for walks, I may stop from time to time if I don't know you well or if I feel uncertain. However, I like being petted and that encourages me to walk. In the off-lead areas, I explore my surroundings calmly and confidently and will come to you when called.
As I've never lived in a home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love and guidance!

THE ADOPTION PROCESS
Adopting from Soi Dog Foundation is one of the most effective ways to support our work, as each adoption creates the space we need to help another animal in need. It is also incredibly rewarding to give an animal the chance to experience the love and security they so desperately deserve.
Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
