Meet Jervis
Hi! I’m Jervis, a confident, curious and independent boy looking for a home.
I was brought to Soi Dog when I was three years old after being found abandoned behind a temple. With a busy road on one side of me and a pack of big dogs on the other, it was dangerous out there, so I joined the shelter for my safety.
You might not be able to tell from my photos, but I’m completely blind. No one is quite sure what caused my gradual loss of vision, but there’s no need to worry – I cope remarkably well. I’m confident when meeting and interacting with people, and I enjoy my walks so much that I often resist going back to my enclosure! I do occasionally bump into things when I’m off lead, but I’m unfazed and usually carry on as though nothing happened.
Being blind can be challenging in a shelter environment, as I can’t read the body language of the other dogs around me. Because of this, I can be selective about which dogs I get along with, so please bear this in mind if you already have dogs at home.
I’d love to find a forever family and show them just how capable I am. With my adorable ear tufts and a certain sparkle in my eyes, I’m sure I’ll be hard to resist! Please enquire today if you think I could be the one for you.
THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
