Hi! I’m Kimono, an affectionate, friendly and gentle boy looking for a home.
For the first year of my life, all I knew was pain and suffering. Someone tied a rope around my neck and, as I grew, it dug into my neck, caused a deep wound and slowly started to choke me. I was so frightened and wouldn’t let anyone get close enough to help.
Fortunately, someone called Soi Dog who sent their officers to get me. At their shelter, the rope was finally cut, and I went on to make a full recovery. I still have a scar, and I probably always will do. However, the story behind it is now a distant memory for me.
My fear has slowly faded over time too, and these days I’m only nervous sometimes, just like any other dog might be. Otherwise, people describe me as friendly, cheeky, gentle and loyal.
I form really sweet bonds with people here at the shelter, and I can’t wait to do the same in a home with a family of my own. So please consider me, Kimono, to be your boy!
THE ADOPTION PROCESS

Initial enquiry
Submit an adoption enquiry, answering some initial questions about your family, lifestyle and ideal companion.
Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
