Can you help me find a home in the USA?

Hi! I’m Koduck, but the people who know me here in Washington State, USA, call me Koda.

I haven’t always lived in the USA. In fact, I was born many thousands of miles away on the island of Phuket in Thailand. I lived on the streets there for the first year of my life before being brought to the Soi Dog shelter for treatment for a severe leg injury. Sadly, my leg had to be amputated, but I made a remarkable recovery and quickly adapted to life as a tripod.

After eight months at the shelter, I flew to the USA to join a family who was kind enough to adopt me, but unfortunately circumstances have since changed, so I’m looking for a new home.

A bit about me… My current foster family describe me as sweet, mellow, loving and intelligent – an all-round good boy, really. Although their home is new to me, I’ve learnt to navigate it on three legs with ease. I sometimes “back in” through doorways, which they find very endearing!

I’m well adapted to life in a home, and I have experience living alongside other dogs, so no problems there. Like many dogs experiencing big change, I can be a little anxious when left alone, but this is improving with time. Still, I’m looking for a home where I won’t be by myself for long periods, as I enjoy companionship and form strong bonds with my people.

If you’re in the USA and looking for a friend, please consider me. I’m on your doorstep and would love the chance to meet you.
