Meet Meeka
Hi! I’m Meeka, a calm, gentle boy looking for a home.
I was just a two-month old puppy when me and my four siblings arrived at Soi Dog Foundation after being found abandoned without our mother in the national park. Being so young and with no one to care for us, my siblings and I never returned to our previous location and became a resident of the shelter.
Inside my run, I'm confident, curious and will approach visitors. I will jump on you from excitement and allow to be touched/petted. I don't have any problems with the other dogs and will play with them. Outside, I am nervous and would go back and sit near the run door. I didn't want to walk, so I was carried which I am okay with, to the off lead area. During a break, I was put down to be lead again to the off lead area but refused to walk and had to be carried again. In the off lead, I calmly explored the surroundings but was not confident. I would not approach when called and focused on the exit.
As I've never lived inside a proper home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love, guidance and patience!

Interview
Join a video call with one of our adoption coordinators to help find your perfect match. Discuss the dog’s medical history, behavioural needs and more.
Home Assessment
Complete a home visit – either in person or virtually – with one of our staff or volunteers to ensure you have everything in place to welcome a rescue dog.
Adoption agreement
Sign the adoption agreement, confirming your commitment to the care of your chosen dog.
Travel arrangements
Let our logistics team arrange your dog’s journey to you. Collect your new best friend from a pre-arranged location and enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
