Meet Melus

Hi! I’m Melus, a confident, friendly and gentle girl looking for a home.

I was two years old when I arrived at Soi Dog after being found lying injured in a tunnel. It's suspected I'd been hit by a car – an all-too-common fate for street dogs like me. I had fractured teeth, abrasions to my leg and a serious injury to the ligaments in my carpus (or wrist). With surgery, rest and physiotherapy, I eventually recovered well.

When I first meet people, I'm confident, friendly and will approach. Outside, I like to take my time and walk calmly and confidently everywhere, including busy and noisy areas. Sometimes, I feel unsure and will stop, but if you're patient and encouraging, I'll feel comfortable enough to continue. In the off-lead areas, I calmly and confidently sniff the surroundings but will play if you instigate it! I will approach when called as I like the affection and being petted. I'm an all-round lovely girl to spend time with.

As I've never lived in a proper home before, everything will be new and strange at first, but I'm sure there's nothing I can't adapt to with your love, guidance and patience!

If I sound like a good fit for your family, or you’d like to learn some more about me, please enquire.
