Young at heart

Hello! I’m Nuengsa, a lively and sociable senior boy looking for a home.

I was rushed to Soi Dog in May 2023 after being deliberately scalded with boiling water. The cruel attack left me with deep wounds to my head and body, and the pain was excruciating.

Fortunately, the vets were able to patch me up with reconstructive surgery, removing my left ear entirely as it was so badly burnt. My fur has done a good job of growing back since then, and now I have a unique hairdo!

While you were looking at my missing ear and fancy side parting, you might not have noticed my right hind leg. Due to an old injury that I sustained on the streets, I don’t bear weight on this leg, but please don’t worry. I'm not in any pain, and I don’t need an amputation. I just need to make sure I keep a healthy weight and don’t overexert myself.  

Despite my older age and my different abilities, I have an adventurous nature and a lot of energy. I really enjoy my walks around the shelter with the volunteers and will explore the off-lead areas for as long as they’ll let me. You could say I'm young at heart.
