Sterilising Phuket's dogs and cats,

Treating those who are otherwise left suffering, Feeding those that otherwise go hungry.

17,931 dogs and cats sterilised since October 2003 (to end March 2008)

It is estimated that Soi Dog look after over 1000 dogs in temples, the SDF centre and around the streets of Phuket. We desperately need sponsors to help us continue to help us help the strays of Phuket!

These three pups were rescued by some German tourists from Khao Lak. The rest of the litter had been 'disposed of'. These three lucky pups were adopted on 4 May 08. Help us help more by sponsoring one of our dogs today.
Hope needs a sponsor

This little poodle was found tied to our centre gate early May 08. No idea why somebody would
dump her. Friendly little thing.

Sterilisation

Sterilisation remains the main focus of SDF.

The only change has been to reduce costs. Please see our stats for more details.

Unfortunately we can only sterilise more animals if we can afford to. We are increasing our drive in Phuket to raise funds for more sterilisations.

Soi Dog = Street Dog

Soi Dog Foundation is a volunteer and not-for-profit organization with the aim to better the lives and living conditions of the street and stray dogs in Thailand, currently focused on the island of Phuket.

Stichting Soi Dog in The Netherlands supports this work in order to broaden our appeal, raise additional funds, provide extra banking services, facilitate the use of PayPal for credit-card payment and lend support with adoptions abroad.

The most important tasks, the physical work of helping the street and stray dogs, is done in Thailand by volunteers. Soi Dog Foundation supports this work through efforts of volunteers working in The Netherlands. People who donate their time, effort and often much of their own funds.

Objectives of the Soi Dog Foundation

Minimize suffering of the street and stray dogs as well as feral cats through sterilization and vaccination

Treat the sick and/or injured who are otherwise left suffering

Feed those who otherwise go hungry

Create a better and safer environment for the people and the animals

Educate the people about the benefits of cats and dogs to themselves and the society at large and teach humane treatment of these animals
