Welcome to the Soi Dog Foundation
Soi Dog Foundation (SDF) is a not-for-profit, legally registered charitable organization, based in Phuket, Thailand, with the aim of setting an example for the rest of the Asian region on how to humanely reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats through spaying and neutering, and to better the lives and living conditions of the stray dogs and feral cats of Thailand.
To this end the Soi Dog Foundation:
- Has spayed and neutered over 25,500 street dogs and cats up to the end of 2009

- Thousands more have been treated for injury and disease by providing emergency and ongoing veterinary treatment for abused and neglected dogs and cats.

- Provides free veterinary treatment for those who cannot afford it at its clinic in Mai Khao.

- Runs a shelter and rehoming center for over 200 dogs that have been abandoned or abused and subjected to sometimes terrible cruelty.

- Feeds hundreds of dogs and cats in temples and other locations.

Supporters - The American School of the Hague
11 January 2010 ![]() For the past three years, the 10-11 year old 5th graders at the American School of the Hague (ASH) in the Netherlands have been enthusiastically participating with Soi Dog Foundation in their work helping to improve the lives of the abused and neglected animals of Phuket, Thailand. The children at our school come from over 50 countries. |

Soi Dog has completed the initial purchase of a portion of the land on which the shelter is located.
Further, Soi Dog has negotiated an arrangement whereby the remaining land can be purchased within 2 years at an
agreed price of 10 million baht (approx. $300,000 USD). This land currently houses Soi Dog’s clinic,
the puppy and old/weak dog’s runs, as well as other facilities. The acquisition of this land is critical in
sustaining the growth of SoiDog and continuing our work in helpings the
stray and homeless animals of Thailand.
We are appealing to new and existing supporters for your help in
purchasing the remainder of the land as quickly as possible. This
is a critical and immediate initiative for Soi Dog.
