I am Opia and I am a true fighter. My story is not like any other story you have ever heard, and I am so thankful to be here today to share it with you.

I was born with a congenital malformation of my front legs which meant I could never walk or run around like other dogs. Luckily, I was born in a temple and I had a sweet monk taking care of me since I was born. Everything was going just fine. Despite my disability, I was still able to enjoy my life to the fullest. Then the most traumatic thing happened: I was attacked by another dog. I was left with a huge bite wound on my back and I was so scared for my life.

At that moment, my kind feeder and carer reached out to Soi Dog for urgent help, and to this day I am still so grateful for all he has done for me. I was given the best care possible since the day I arrived at the shelter, and I must say I have made a brilliant recovery! My legs are of course still stuck in the same position, but thanks to the amazing wheelchair that was kindly donated to me, I am now able to experience real walks and runs and I absolutely loved it.

At Soi Dog, I am well cared for, with physiotherapy sessions and special care as well as lots of cuddles. I must say I am quite the character, and am not afraid to go for what I want, whether that's cuddles or food. I feel happy and safe for the first time in my life. But there are hundreds of other rescued animals here at Soi Dog, and looking after so many of us costs a lot of money. Will you please do something very special and choose me as your sponsor dog?

I promise I will keep in touch with updates throughout the year. You will be amazed to see how many lives you can change by becoming my sponsor today.

Sponsoring a dog or cat means that your donation will go towards Soi Dog's efforts helping the neglected and abused dogs and cats of Asia. Your gift of sponsorship is used to help your sponsored dog or cat and all the other animals Soi Dog cares for to provide shelter, food & medicine and veterinary care.
