Hello! I’m Imkea, a sweet and shy girl looking for a home.

I was so dishevelled when I arrived at the Soi Dog shelter back in 2022 – far from the well-groomed, pristine-white girl I am today. I was a puppy at the time, just eight weeks old. My fur was dirty from the streets, and a nasty illness called parvovirus had made me very sick indeed.

Fortunately, Soi Dog has a special isolation unit for dogs with parvovirus, and it was there that I made a full recovery. I have four siblings, most of whom have been adopted now. I’d love to be next!

As I’ve grown up at the shelter, I don’t know much about the outside world, but I’d love to learn. Maybe we can figure it out together! If you have some other dogs in your home to help show me the way, that could be great too.  

I can be nervous outside of my enclosure, so when volunteers take me for walks, I usually lead the way and show them where I feel most comfortable going. On some days, I’ll head to the off-lead area and let loose a little bit. On other days, I’ll opt for a short walk and a quick sniff before heading back to my enclosure for some cuddles with my carer. Every day is a different adventure.
